About Tom Drougas

Tom is a founding member of Sun Valley Real Estate, LLC and has been in the real estate business in Sun Valley since 1975. His early career included commercial real estate brokerage with Norris, Beggs, and Simpson in Portland, Oregon that expanded upon moving to Sun Valley with extensive experience in residential, ranch, and development real estate. Tom attended the University of Oregon with a degree in Religious Studies providing a classical education in world religions and philosophy that has influenced his life and career. He was an All American offensive tackle for the Ducks, followed by a five year career in the NFL starting as the first round draft pick of the Baltimore Colts and played for the Miami Dolphins. He is a past President of the Sun Valley Board of Realtors, has served on the Board of the Ketchum/Sun Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Ketchum Planning and Zoning Commission. Tom enjoys skiing, golf, flyfishing, and yoga as a balance to his dedication to career. His brokerage and development activities have often been focused on the most precious aesthetically beautiful and architecturally unique properties in the Valley. He is known for using creative and innovative solutions to get the job done. His clientele has included people from all walks of life including notable artists, business leaders, and politicians who have given him a graduate degree in business with his professionalism resulting in ongoing referrals.
